Marshall and Synergy have teamed up to honor the legendary JMP in an all-tube preamp module. Marshall amps have shaped rock for decades, from Clapton and Hendrix to Page, Van Halen, and Young. Central to this history is the Plexi, introduced in the ’60s, famed for sparkling cleans that morph into biting overdrive and rich distortion. It became the benchmark of tone across blues-rock, hard rock, shredding metal, and grunge.

The Synergy JMP module merges Marshall’s circuit design with Synergy’s modular technology to capture the roar, touch sensitivity, and dynamics of a cranked JMP at any volume. Two identical channels feature Volume 1, Volume 2, Master, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Bright switches. Volumes mirror the bright and normal Plexi inputs, with independent masters for precise balance.

Vintage switches let you select ’60s mode for smoother tone or ’70s mode for tighter aggression. To recreate full amp feel, the module employs a “0-watt power amp” design with phase inverter and transformer, delivering punch and harmonic complexity in compact format. Four Bright switches shape treble response, while the cathode select function offers three settings to fine-tune low-end and tightness.

The result is an authentic Marshall experience: bold cleans, crunch, and searing distortion in a Synergy module that brings Plexi tone to stage, studio, or home.
