The DW1000 Sport is the sporty version of a Les Paul.
Les Paul players know the problem: the instrument sings endlessly with enormous sustain, but is heavy as lead and becomes quite a burden after a few songs. The DW1000 Sport provides a remedy: its body is a good centimeter thinner to save weight, and the singing sustain is brought back with a three-strip continuous maple neck, fitted with two barrier veneers. The neck-body transition is smoothly flowing and sporty in design. For an authentic feel, the classic 15mm thick solid maple top is also glued on.

The scale length has been extended to 640mm to get a little more wire and freshness, and a longer scale length is also better suited for downtunings. The two amber humbuckers are controlled by a 6-way toggle switch, which includes the standard versions as well as the Peter Greene out-of-phase sound and single-coil sound. In addition, one of the tone pots is a kill pot for the stutter effect à la Rage Against the Machine.

In terms of hardware, modern components are used here: open Schertler tuners and a one-piece wraparound bridge from Gotoh.
This Les Paul is therefore ideally equipped for top athletic performance!
