KLAS – Linen composite guitars
Since the beginning of 2000 we have been looking for indigenous woods able to properly replace the traditional tropical woods; Kopo guitars are now mostly built with European spices like Walnut, Maple, Linden and a few other.
Kopo is based in Brittany (France), and very closed to nautical world; this made us naturally aware of the new generation of composite, using natural material as Linen fiber.
We decided to experiment the production of a Linen composait body for an acoustic guitar.
The material is now accomplished with different types of Linen and Basalt fabrics, we name it KLAS, for Kopo Linen Acoustic Solution.
This constitute the bodies for our « L1 » guitars ! Today, after 8 years of development, we propose 2 models, the Ouessant L1 & the Dublin L1.
