GAS Dual Field Humbucker is designed for metal players who want to have the benefits of a ceramic-magnet pickup (sharp attack, tight bass, cutting riffing, natural compression etc.) along with the benefits of an AlNiCo-magnet pickup (nice singing leads, smotther attack, etc.) on one, single pickup. This particular need appeared after years of close cooperating with metal guitarists.
GAS Dual Field combines two very short magnet bars, a ceramic one and an AlNiCo 5 one. The ceramic bar is placed at the E, A and D string poles, whereas the AlNICo bar is placed at the g,b and e string poles. With this configuration, riffing on the 3 lower strings is sharper and tighter, while lead playing on the 3 higher strings is more mellow.

The whole effect is further emphasized by the proper use of pole screws and slugs:
For the E, A and D strings the screws are of 1018 steel (more treble content) and the slugs are wide flat top made of 1215 steel.
For the g,b and e strings the pole screws are made of the low carbon 1010 steel and the slugs are narrow, beveled top, 1215 steel made.
Further upon the GAS Dual Field features balanced wound coils, AWG 43 P155 wire, 4,9 kHz Resonance Frequency and around 14 kOhms DC Resistance. It comes with 4 conductor wire. Designed for bridge position.
