The AluTone Resona is a guitar made entirely from aluminium, which already sets it apart, but what truly makes it unique is its fully hollow-milled neck and interchangeable fretboard. Unlike other aluminium guitar makers, AluTone allows the player to easily swap the fretboard themselves. For example, the user can install a fretless board or simply replace a worn-out fretboard with a new one when the frets are worn down.
Another unique feature is that the neck relief is built into the fretboard itself. The aluminium neck is 100% straight and does not require adjustment like a traditional wooden neck. This makes it possible to choose different fretboard relief options depending on your playing style. Want higher action for lower tunings and thicker strings? Or a super tight, low setup? It’s all adjustable by the player, simply by changing the fretboard.
AluTone’s goal is to produce these aluminium guitars in series and keep them in stock for immediate delivery. Fretboards will also be available separately for individual purchase.
